An Essex Wildlife Trust SSSI of ~600 acres
A Site of Special Scientific Interest of around 600 acres, cared for by Essex Wildlife Trust. It is worked using traditional coastal farming – grazing British breeds of cattle and sheep – methods chosen to be gentle on the wildlife that depends on the marsh.
