Royal Hazel Tree
This is a Hazel tree (Corylus avellana), one of the trees from the Tree of Trees project, created to celebrate Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee. Tollesbury Climate Partnership was honoured to be selected as one of the community groups to receive one of these commemorative trees.
Our fantastic volunteers installed a sturdy post-and-rail fence with protective wire to give the tree the best chance to thrive by keeping hungry deer at bay. 🦌🚫
The Royal Hazel is part of a larger group of trees we’ve planted, helping to create greener spaces, support wildlife and leave a lasting legacy for future generations.
