Woodrolfe Farm Lane Intersection

Woodrolfe Farm Lane was one of just two roads the pier extension crossed on its final run down to the Blackwater. There were no gates or grand signals here, only a simple open crossing – the economy of a light railway, where speeds were low and trains few. A mixed train of goods and passengers might take thirty or forty minutes to amble the eight miles from Kelvedon, and none ran on a Sunday.
