The Loft tea room
Tea room
Tea with a view over Woodrolfe Creek
The Loft Tea Rooms occupy the first of the four historic Sail Loft stores on Woodrolfe Road – the same buildings where Thomas Lipton's America's Cup yachts once wintered. Teas, coffees, cakes and light lunches are served with a view over Woodrolfe Creek and the marina beyond.
Opening is ad hoc, so it's worth checking locally before making a special trip.

Pearl MacFarlane
Painting, Beading & Felting
Pearl MacFarlane has been creating art for as long as she can remember. Rather than specialising in one particular medium, she is always excited to explore something new — her work has ranged from hyper-realistic animal portraits and intricate pen-and-ink village scenes to textured 3D paintings, acrylic landscapes, bead embroidery and detailed decorated wooden eggs.
She doesn't like to put herself in a box, and simply enjoys the process of creating; every new idea is an opportunity to experiment, learn and see where her imagination takes her. If she had to describe her style, she'd call it "Erratic Art" — a celebration of curiosity, creativity and never standing still.
Louie Goddard
Painting
For the past few years Louie Goddard has been upcycling musical instruments with mandala dotwork. For the Arts Trail, Louie will be showcasing some hand-painted ukuleles as well as embroidered landscapes and mandalas.
Much of the work is inspired by the beautiful Essex coastline, reflected in colour, texture and atmosphere, as well as more directly in recent abstract landscape paintings.
Phoebe Taylor
Pressed Flower Art
Phoebe Taylor is the creator behind The Petal Press. 🌸 She has been creating pressed flower art for around a year, pressing flowers from her garden in Tollesbury alongside wildflowers collected on walks, capturing the natural beauty of the local area. She uses the flowers she presses to hand-make a variety of unique cards and A4 pieces.
Phoebe is excited to be showcasing her work for the first time at the Tollesbury Arts Trail. You can find her on Instagram @thepetalpress_
